I’m Sophie Torkington. A vocalist, event coordinator, and storyteller at heart.

With over six years of experience creating community events, ceremonies, and meaningful moments across Townsville, I’ve developed a deep love for bringing people together in beautiful, thoughtful ways. Now, as a marriage celebrant, I’m combining my background in music, performance, and event planning to help couples celebrate their love with heartfelt ceremonies that are seamless, joyful, and entirely their own.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium, and my experience in vocal performance and theatre allows me to deliver ceremonies with confidence, warmth, and clarity. Whether I’m scripting your ceremony, guiding a rehearsal, or singing you down the aisle, I bring calm energy, creative flair, and genuine care to every detail.

My goal is simple: to create a ceremony that feels like you — personal, polished, and unforgettable.

I live in Townsville with my husband and son, and spend my weekends at the Sunday markets, soaking up sunshine, sipping strong coffee, and finding inspiration for the next love story I’m lucky enough to help tell.
